QX80 Competition / Competitors?

What other cars are you shopping or looking at apart from the Infiniti QX80?

I'm looking at the Lexus LX, just waiting to see what 2014 models will be like compared to the 2014 models

I wonder if the Escalade is a competitor?

Escalade and Navigator are two vehicles that get cross shopped.

You could also look at the Altima.

There really isn't too many of these full size SUVs around anymore though. It is a niche market.

Not just only SUVs, but cars that are built on truck platforms. I agree with you on it being on a niche market though.

What about full size pickup trucks?

The QX80 is already built on a fullsize truck frame and most fullsize pickups now come with heavy luxury features to combat SUVs like the QX80...

Silverado 2LZ MSRPs at $50,750
While the twin Sierra MSRPS at ~$56k, the GMC is slightly higher class than the Silverado.
An F-150 Limited will MSRP for ~$66k...

you get all the storage capabilities and then some, towing capabilities, true 4x4...

There is the Yukon, which could possibly be the largest vehicle ever (other than the Hummer.)

It starts at $42,955 and gets a impressive (sarcasm) 15/21 mpg.

Now that thing definitely has an interior for the 1800s.

Helios 09-09-2013 05:31 PM

You have to remember that the Yukon costs far less than the other vehicles we have been discussing. The interior also looks like it costs far less than the other vehicles'. Are there other material options that you can opt for for some extra cash on the Yukon. That grey plastic is pretty haggard.

this is actually not that bad of a deal considering the QX80 will probably start at just over $60k and only get up to 16MPG's
