I'm amazed at how Infiniti can come up with so many colors that all look so similar. I would have to go with the Smoky Quartz or the Dark Currant. And as for the interior, I would go with the Graphite leather and Mocha Burl trim. Although I could also go with the Graphite Leather with Tuscan Burl trim because of the cheaper cost.
I've learnt from the past that when it comes to large family cars like this. Keep the exterior a light color and keep the interior a dark color. It will keep your sanity in line.

if you have kids, this is what you should do but if everyone is grown up and you don't have pets then you can be worry-free with a light color interior.

light color interiors just look so much better.
I've never been a fan of light colored leather. To me it looks cheap and mundane. Like old people's shoes. I would go with a dark colored interior.

As for the outside, the Platinum Graphite seems like a good choice.
I think light color interiors look great, just depends on what you like. But one thing for sure is that they only go well with some colors. Example, a lot of red ferrari's have a tan interior, red and tan go very well with eachother:

Love the red and tan interior here. What I like more about this Ferrari is the carbon fiber. Its all around the seats and on the dash.

I think that black goes with everything, but if you are going for beige, tan, brown or something bold like red, it is important what color your exterior is. It's not as though the QX80 gives you that much choice of exterior colors though. Lots of options, but not a lot of variety.

you still have to deal with jean fade and getting oils on the leather.

too much hassle for me.
Jean fade is definitely an issue but can be taken care of if you act on it fast enough.
I believe there are some leather protectors that can help minimize the effect jean fade has, something to consider for someone who really wants a tan or light colored interior.
if you wear raw denim there is nothing to be done. Absolutely nothing. A friend has a RR sport, his entire drivers chair is streaked blue, he used to go nuts trying to keep it clean but at the end of the day he said it was losing battle.

or you could not wear jeans..
yep.. im a raw denim kind of guy. and i always leave a tshirt on the seat to stop my jeans for bleeding all over the seats
Usually with jeans it takes a few washes or more before the color stops running. There also might be something you can do to help stop the color from running, not sure what, but it would be worth looking into.
you aren't suppose to wash raw denim :)
didn't know that.
i guess it's black interiors for you then!
Black interiors for life only in a vehicle like this :D

When that day comes that I pick up a Ferrari of my own or some cool sports car in red, it will have to have a tan interior.

For someone with a family that will be using the QX80, a black interior is KEY
I'd get the Ferrari with the red interior :)
I just hope it's a tasteful look!
I will take this one please:
