Caddy just released a picture of the 2015 Escalades interior...

cool, but really no innovation. this is 2013's interior

all that inside this with a cadillac face. GM is a business after all, the Escalade is pretty much free money.

should also see a return of the Escalade Hybrid.

I still think QX80s ten year old interior is better than the Escalade

I think the 2015 Escalade interior is a step above the interior of the 2013 model. It is nice to see the darker brown and black leather instead of the beige. And I think that the centre console looks better having more texture instead of just being flat. I think that the Escalade is doing a good job of competing with the QX80. I don't think that it is the interior design that will be the deciding point between the two vehicles. Price, exterior design, and options are the bigger differences.
It's easy to judge the interior just from looks. The Lexus LX is like this, but as you dig deeper you will begin to appreciate it more.

I see a big difference between the 2015 and 2013 Escalade interiors, they used a whole new design language for it, it's a big step up.
Everything looks so flat in the 2013 Escalade interior. The 2015 Escalade makes things a lot more sleek and everything just fits together better. Even the design of the door looks more refined. It looks like there was an improvement in the wheel design as well. i think that this is a big step up for Cadillac.

Infiniti will have to catch up IMO. And it will once it gets around to it.

I guess you're not used to the interior designs of American cars. If you look back at the past you'll see how much of an improvement this is for them. It's nothing like an infiniti, which is what I like, it's uniquely Cadillac.

The interior is looking pretty sweet. I think that the leather seating looks quite comfortable.

The exterior looks nice, but in the end there is only so much designing you can do to a vehicle when it is this big. I like the sharper edges better than the more rounded corners of the QX80 though. I think Infiniti could do with an update on the QX80.

To be honest I was expecting it to be more different but i'm still happy with how the new Escalade turned out. Comparing it to the current one on our roads there's a huge difference.
its still jus5t a rebadged this

not impressed at all. A vehicle like this would look bulbous without the sharp lines, if they gave it any sort of 'design' it would look quite out of place. Actually kind of how i feel about QX80

Thats easy to say, although they use the same platform, there are quite a few differences between the two. The current escalade is already a big step up, and the new one with a whole new refresh pushes that even further,

its easy to say because its true. What constitutes a big step up, enough to justify Escalades $40,000 premium over the Tahoe... I doubt it
doesn't really look like a 2015 kind of interior.

Escalade is still too boxy for my taste

Do not agree at all, I think those leather seats look flat and unsupportive....

QX80's rear seats are much better IMO, they are at least like the captains chairs up front, not as much bolster but way more than the flat back of the escalade...

Good point, it's something cadillac should have done, and even then it would still be easy to have them fold away. They should still be nice. But as far as any american SUV goes, the new Escalade is the best, it sets the mark.
why does Cadillac always alter their photos to make their leather seats to look so shiny 0.0

lots of armorall and lighting I guess? Escalades are all bling, so this just helps it be more blingy.

BTW how cool would it be if brands like Infiniti offered rear seat setups like this:

based on what? Purchase price, fuel economy, power? Just what makes the Escalade the best American SUV.... Is it the $30,000 premium charged over its Chevy counterpart or the fact that the hip hop industry flocked to them after Hummer died?

This would be pretty cool, but it almost looks like a limo or executive car set-up. The Cadillac seats could be a bit uncomfortable if you are going on a long road trip, but I don't think that they look uncomfortable. I mean I'd have to sit in them in order to give a worthwhile opinion. I would be a supporter of the back seat set-up like in the picture above^^^
as nice as the interior looks. you would loose the middle seat. and probably access to 3rd row.

and you wouldn't be able to fold the seats down flat.

as far as american SUV's go, vehicles from american car makers, it's the better of the bunch. Design, features, etc....it's amazing. When you look for a premium SUV, price and fuel economy shouldn't be much of a concern

well by that measure the Escalade doesn't out class any of its GM siblings. Tahoe and Yukon offer the same basic funstions, Cadillac may get a few extra like LEDs but that does not justify the Escalade as the best.

Why shouldn't fuel economy be a concern, because I have to money to spend? I didn't get to this point in my life by frivolously throwing away money. You may think purchase price and fuel econ don't factor into premium purchases but the wealthy are actually the most frugal. Like I said, no one becomes wealthy by wasting money...

most people who drive escaldes aren't even wealthy, just on the government dole swiping EBT and putting all available funds into car payments. We live in an image based society, thats the only reason the Escalade sells, it has nothing to be with being best
