Hesitation on acceleration

Hello.

I have a 2016 QX80 and recently it has developed an issue where there is slight hesitation when doing mild/moderate acceleration up to about 50mph or so. This issue has also seemed to have coincide with decreased MPG.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks!

I started noticing that as well. I too have a 2016 QX80. The engine catches up, bit there is an initial lag. I don't know why though.

I have a 2016 purchase couple months ago and between 1 & 2nd it has a lag and the tach pops up and down
I would look at throttle body and clean it up first. This is a delicate job and don't put any tools there. Just spray the special fluid made only for throttle body. You may need to active it so it opens and close. Not sure how this works on QX80. Maybe need to turn ACC Accessory on position. Never start the engine. Then look at mass airflow sensor. Any dirt accumulation there? I presume you look at the air filter and no debris and dirt there... Plug OBD2 and see if there are any codes. It can be obvious...or even more confusing :( .
Hi ,

Yup I been having the same issue, you can drive but its only going to get worst. It shutters now at low speeds, I even notice when I have several people in my car it shutters a lot more. I think its the torque converter, reason when I stop quickly then accelerate, it jerks causing the tire to burn rubber , I tried everything and last hope is to take it into a transmission shop or trade it in.
