For those who have done an interior LED conversion, have you had any problems with the LED's dimming properly? Under certain conditions (at night when I pull in the garage and turn the car off) all the lighting appears to go to a dimmer setting and I'm wondering how the LED's will handle this. In my experience with home LED lighting the bulbs must be dimmable or they won't work at a lower voltage and I'm wondering if the same is true for automotive LED's. Searching on ebay and Amazon I don't see any that are advertised as dimmable so I'm hoping someone here has some experience. If you have any recommendations on ones you've bought I'd be happy to hear suggestions as well. Ebay and Amazon can be crapshoot on these things.

You'll have no issues with LEDs in cars. Because cars use a DC voltage system, the car will reduce voltage gradually to dim them and then eventually cut power to turn them off. This is also accomplished using capacitors to dim them until they turn off.

Home electrical runs on AC power so bulbs need to be specifically dimmable.

Go nuts and buy a bunch of LEDs for your car. I've done that with every car I've owned.
