Larte-Design is showing off their latest project, a "decked-out" custom Infiniti QX80. Their work shows just how unique, elevated and personalized the QX80 can get with some real work put into it.

The main feature of this custom Infiniti QX80 is the wooden floor that has been installed. The wooden slat floor is made from teak, a wood that is both tough and great looking. The wooden floor gives off a very California beach house-type vibe. I can just imagine packing up all your beach and weekend stuff and driving out to the beach house in this vehicle.

Larte-Design has been restrained in their approach to this project, which is not always the case. There are few other changes to the vehicle. Special aluminium pedals have been added and they also have added a covering to the trunk. The trunk cover is an option that many companies offer as a factory option, but for the QX80 it has to come from the after market.

Here are the pros and cons of the wooden floor from my perspective. On one hand, it may be more dangerous in the event of an accident. If the floor crunches at all, you may end up with a splinter of sharp wood stuck in you. On the other hand, the wood would reflect light better which would keep the car cooler in bright, sunny and hot locales. It would also be easy to clean -- just get out a duster and you'd be done in no time.

I find this to be an inspiring example of what can be done with the QX80 in the after market world.
