Hello everyone,

I'm in the market for a used car and I've come across a 2016 Infiniti Qx80 with a 5.6L V8 DOHC 32V engine. The price is 26,977$ and the title status is Salvage.

Before I make a decision, I wanted to get some advice from the forum. What do you guys think about this car? Is it worth buying? Are there any potential problems I should be aware of?

I'm hoping to find out what other people have to say about the car before I make a decision. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Were you provided any info about why it has the salvage title? Could be just because parts are expensive, or the repairs were extremely extensive. Also is the dealer giving you a warranty?

The reason for the salvage title would be the deal breaker for me. And I wouldn't buy it without a warranty

The price is way too high for this vehicle. With salvage title? Stay away from this deal.

And for any other QX80 get a good OBDII scanner that is dedicated to Nissan/Infiniti so you can connect to every module on the vehicle and look for codes (and if and when they were reset). And just to say it... BlueDriver is useless for that. It can only connect with the main computer so it will not give you codes or live data for critical modules such as transmission.

Overall QX80 are simple and reliable vehicles and very reasonable priced but the one above is not.
