Good news Manhattans! BNF Automotive Group has signed a 25-year lease for 265,000 square feet of showroom and automotive service space in the auto-row area of New York for $250 million. Pictured above is a rendering of what the showrooms could look like.

Gary Flom, owner of BNF Automotive Group will be placing Nissan and Infiniti dealerships in this commercial building next to each other with separate entrances. Also sharing this space will be a Jaguar Land Rover showroom which was allotted 150,000 square feet on the 54th Street side.

The new showrooms will be located at 787 11th Ave in Manhattan and renovations to the first five floors of the building will start early this year. Right above the dealership will be the offices of a hedge fund company, the perfect high income market for Infiniti’s Q30 hatchback and QX30 crossover along with Nissan’s higher end Maxima sport sedan and Murano crossover. Maybe the QX80 will make its way to the Manhattan location once it’s open as it is a full sized SUV at the top of the Infiniti product line that promises excess for those who can afford it.

It’s not just the first 5 floors that will be getting renovated, terraces and roof space will also be added or redesigned to include lifestyle and wellness amenities. Automotive News thinks one such amenity could be a rooftop tennis court.

Gary Flom’s “vision is to transform the current idea of a typical Manhattan dealership into one that can deliver superior experience which will exceed expectations for our loyal and future clientele”.

Think it’s an attainable goal?

I think it's an attainable goal, especially with the new image Infiniti has been creating about the brand i noticed it's pulling in more first time infiniti buyers than before, the current year model QX80 is a great example of that. This is so much the case that a review like the following from a well known auto vlogger would make me step into an Infiniti dealer...
