When I bought my QX80 I immediately noticed a weird alarm maybe someone can help with. If I pull into a parking spot with something in front of me, I expectedly get an alarm that I am about to hit something. So I stop and all is well. But then, when I get back into the car and put it in reverse, I get the same (front) alarm. Why would I get an alarm when I am not at risk of hitting anything?

When you pull into the parking space, is there a car parked in front of you or perhaps a light post? I know it has sensors on the front and rear bumpers and if you get close to anything it beeps. Mine beeps sometimes even when I go through a drive-thru. It is annoying because I will be sitting waiting for my order and it is beeping away because the driver's side is too close to the wall I am assuming and it reacts to it as a possible obstacle. There are also times I am backing out and it beeps because one of the front fenders is too close to a bush or something.
