Hi, I have a qx80 for 6 month, as I have three Kids it is ok for me. Once a month because of various reasons I wished it was equiped with 2nd row bench, Just as my previous 2015 gl450 had.
Got tired with it and I have decided to make conversion. I have a proper jump seat, and this week it will be wraped with matching nappa leather. The fitment is easier than I thought. Seatbelt will be waist only, but its ok for me.

Here are the photos. Bad light as it was done at night. The seat is cloth now, but soon it will be black leather with silver stichings. The cupholder plate will be wraped with leather too . As it must be up to the infiniti's class.

Nice modification! I had a QX56 with the second row bench but got a QX80 with the captain's chairs. Every so often, I miss the flexibility of have all three kids in the second row and the third row down. But, my oldest is a driver and we're not often all 5 in the same vehicle, so the comfort of the captain's chairs works better. Please post pics of the finished product when complete.

Out of curiosity, where did you get the jump seat?

As I stay in Europe, there are many small cars, one of it has perfect fiting seats. Of course I will send finshed mod photos. The Best thing is that it combines comfort of captains seats, with versatility ( sorry if spelled badly) of bench seat.
If someone is interested in this mod, I can help by supplying cloth seat, or finished one, with all needed stuff. Mounting is easy, if heating is needed, than you have to get power from left or right seat. Another step is to drill holes in oryginal brackets 10 mm diameter, screw the lock bolts, and it is done.

Hi, I urgently need to convert my current 2nd row captain's chair setup to straight bench. Unable to find any seat on junkyards. QX80 is a rare find on salvage yards. Please tell me how exactly did you do the conversion? DId you purchase all parts fro Infiniti OEM parts site? Did you custom made it? I would appreciate any info. thanks

Smola, I saw your listing ebay.com for the jump seat on QX80. We have both 2010 QX56 and 2016 QX80. Can your jump seat fits both vehicle? Thanks

Just wanted to chime in here and post some pics of the jump seat I received from Smola. Unfortunately due to the long transport times of the cargo ship (8+ weeks at sea) I am unable to leave feedback on the ebay purchase, and from what he tells me this has been a problem with the others as well. quality is excellent, fit is very well -could stand for the seat bottom to be about a 1/2" higher, leather and stitching match is very good. altogether I could not be happier with the conversion.

a couple more. Mine did not come with the cup holders on the back, which doesn't really matter to me as I did this to fit 3 car seats across the center row anyway.

Just sign papers on a CPO Qx80 and replacing the console to jump seat will be the first mod. I was unable to locate the post on EBAY. Any info regarding the seller would be greatly appreciation!
