Infiniti has confirmed that the QX80 will come to Australia later this month with a price starting at $110,900. The release of the QX80 is part of a larger push for more models in Australia where the brand has only sold 179 vehicles in Australia this year.
The Infiniti QX80 runs on the same base as the Nissan Patrol and will likely share the same engine too. The Nissan Patrol uses a 5.6-litre aspirated V8 that has 298kW of power, 560 Nm of torque, and a fuel economy rating of 14.5L/100km. The QX80 could consume more because all those luxury features do add some extra weight.
The QX80 will get a Hydraulic Body Motion Control suspension system. This system will keep the SUV flat during high speed turns.
Finally, the QX80 will come with 22-inch alloy wheels and a unique body package that is born from of Infiniti's new design language.
Next year Infiniti will release a few more models to expand their model lineup in Australia. Those models include the Q30, QX30 and a production version of the Q60 Concept coupe
