Although most of you won't be putting your QX80 through any of what you're about to see, it might or might not give you more confidence in it. Have a look:
If you want to see how the 2015 QX80 Limited handled in a somewhat corny off road test you can see it has some capability even with stock tires ... probably not something you would do in normal circumstances. I fast forwarded through some of the talking.
It just goes to show, if you want something to do some real off roading in, go Toyota. Even in the middle east for the sand dunes I think they prefer using land cruisers and just about any off road truck based SUV toyota sells to them.
the LX/Land Cruiser is even used in rally racing which should say a lot about it.
in these situations they almost always want to start with the most ideal chassis
