I would like to install a Tekonsha Prodegy brake controller so that I can pull a camper behind my QX80. It would seem the Tekonsha plug-in wiring adapter 3050-P for Nissan/Infiniti would work to connect the brake controller wiring to the small square port located under the dash. However, the Internet websites do not vouch for compatibility of this adapter for late model QX's. Is the small plastic port (top-center) in the attached picture for plugging in a brake controller? Has anybody found a proper wiring adapter for this purpose?

To answer my own question, the port pictured in my original post is not for a brake controller. However, there is a pre-wired port for this purpose in the 2014 QX80. It is located behind the dash kick plate above and to the right of the brake pedal. It is securely taped to a wiring harness. Just snip the black electrical tape (helps if you are a contortionist) and the brake controller wire can be pulled down and connected to Tekonsha plug-in wiring adapter 3050-P.
